The Queen, and her legacy
As the longest-ruling Monarch, there are many opinions on the Queen and her rule; everyone can agree that she was a woman of her word and impacted the world we know.
Events in the Queen's life
At 96 years old, the Queen lived a full life and experienced many things in her lifetime
- The first female member of the Royal Family to join the Armed Services as a full-time active member
- Drove the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia around, as it was at the time illegal for women to drive in their Country.
- She was shot at six times in an assassination attempt (luckily, all the bullets were blanks)
- Using ration coupons, the Queen purchased fabrics to create her wedding dress
- She was the first Monarch to visit China
'Queen Elizabeth's was a life well lived; a promise with destiny kept, and she is mourned most deeply in her passing. That promise of lifelong service I renew to you all today.' King Charles III addressed the Nation and the Commonwealth.
We are deeply saddened by the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II; we honour her lifelong commitment and service to the Country and the commonwealth and send our deepest condolences to her Family.
A final goodbye
For those wishing to say a final goodbye to the Queen, she will be placed in Westminster Hall in Central London. Her coffin will be draped in the royal flag and the Imperial State Crown, and a wreath of flowers will be placed atop the coffin.
It is believed that thousands of people will be waiting to pay their respects and goodbye to the longest reigning sovereign. Weather is said to remain dry during the period, but for those wishing to visit, we advise you to wrap up warm as large queues are expected.
Be advised that security will be in place, and large bags will not be allowed into Westminster Hall for security reasons. You can visit the Queen 24 hours a day until the day of her funeral, where visiting will end at 6:30 am

If I need a van I will get a van, even if they have to stretch their resources. Never did I hear 'we can't help you', sensibly priced and quite flexible. Definitely worth recommending.
