Courier and parcel work means carrying goods for payment, which standard van hire insurance doesn't cover. That's what Hire & Reward Insurance is for. If you don't have your own, we add TCH Hire & Reward Insurance to your quote at £15 a day, with no VAT. If you already hold your own policy, you pay nothing extra. Either way, your quote shows what you'll pay before you send it.

Who can hire a van for courier work
Whether you drive for yourself or run a small courier business, the criteria are the same. Every courier enquiry is reviewed by our team before we confirm your hire, including a DVLA licence check by phone or once your documents arrive.
To hire a van from us for courier work:
- You're aged 27 or over
- You have at least five years' driving experience
- Your licence passes our DVLA check
How courier van hire works
Step 1
Get your quote online
Pick your dates and van, then tell us it's for courier work and whether you have your own Hire & Reward Insurance. Your quote shows the deposit and excess too.
Step 2
We review your enquiry
Our team checks every courier enquiry and gets in touch to go through the details with you.
Step 3
Licence and DVLA check
Upload your licence and ID with your details, and we check your licence with the DVLA by phone or once your documents arrive.
Step 4
Collect your van
Once you're approved, collect your van from TCH and pay the deposit on the day. Then you're ready to start your round.
